Beethoven and Belle
These little lovelies are called Beethoven and Belle and are Bichon crosses and have been at the refuge for a few months now after being rescued from appalling living conditions.
Unfortunately their mistress died and none of the family wanted them and they were very badly neglected.
After arriving at the refuge they were in desperate need of a bath and had to be shaved as their coats were so badly matted. But, underneath all that hair was a lovely surprise and two delightful little dogs emerged full of love and fun.
They have adapted to life at the refuge very well and their eyes are bright and filled with kindness and their tails wag when they see you, they love cuddles and really enjoy their walks and are easily managed together on a lead. They love to roll around in the grass and take in all the lovely smells and there is a lot of life left in these two little lovelies despite the fact that their age is estimated to be around 10 years old.
The SPA are looking for a home where they can remain together as this is all they have known and this could be a permanent foster home where the SPA could cover some of the medical fees. The details will be discussed with any interested party.
These little guys really are a delight to be around and deserve another chance, I am sure that whoever is lucky enough to adopt them will not be disappointed as they still have so much love to give and will make loyal companions.

Hello, my name is Dora and I have been at the refuge now for several weeks.
I am around two years old, a Braque Francais cross and so far have spent the whole of my life, living in a car with my friends Bridget and Galaxy, who are also at the refuge, that is until a kind person from the SPA came along and rescued us.
Overnight, my whole life changed and I can’t believe how lucky I am to have a warm bed, lovely food and to have lots of cuddles, walks and playtime in the park. It is just so different to what I have ever known.
Whilst I am very happy at the refuge, I do so want to find my own family as I have so much love to give and can’t wait to have that someone special of my own to love.
I am a happy fun loving girl, obedient, love my walks, and very sociable and so can be homed with children and other dogs. Like most dogs though, I do need to have an enclosed garden.
