Wine tours and tastings now available throughout Le Berry
A new business offering wine tours and tastings of Centre-Loire AOCs Châteaumeillant, Quincy, Reuilly and Sancerre has recently been set up by one of our members, Peter Howells.
Goûts du Berry offers both full and half day tours around Châteaumeillant, where you will visit two vineyards and get the opportunity to taste some of the area’s celebrated rosé grisand its wonderful ruby red. You will also get to find out how the wine is made and what makes the terroirof this area so special. If you go on a full day tour, you will also get the chance to visit a local goat’s cheese farm.
Plus, you won’t need to worry about designated drivers, so you can really relax and enjoy the wine. Pick-ups and drop-offs to hotels/gites/homes within 20km of Chateaumeillant are included in the price (for those farther afield there is a small surcharge – a table showing this is available on the Goûts du Berry website).
There are also day trips available to visit the vineyards and taste the local wines of Sancerre, Quincy and Reuilly.
In partnership with a local Château, Goûts du Berry now also offers a Wine and Food Adventure breakfor those who would like to spend a few days experiencing some of the best wine and food Le Berry has to offer. As well as a full day tour around Châteaumeillant, guests can also enjoy a five course wine and food matching adventure and 2 nights in a stunning BerrichonneChâteau.
