Amitiés Internationales du Pays de Boussac

If you are in the Boussac area on 8 May 2018, please come along and join us for the Victory in Europe parade. The Union Flag and Stars and Stipes will parade alongside the French.

The itinerary for the day is:

• The VE Day parade will take place on Tuesday 8 May 2018 in Boussac.
• Everyone to meet outside the Mairie in Boussac at 10:45
• Parade will leave the Mairie at 11:00 and march to the memorial.
• The Union Jack and the Stars and Stripes will accompany the French flag.
• Once at the memorial a speech will be made by René Pichon in French followed by the English version of the speech by Dave Clarke.
• Batterie Fanfare des Sapeurs Pompiers de Boussac will play, La Marseillaise, God Save the Queen and The Star-Spangled Banner.
• Following the ceremony the parade will return to the Mairie, where the mayor will formerly thank AIPB for the renovation work carried out on the Memorial.
• Angela Clarke will then make a short speech regarding AIPB and the memorial renovation in English with a French version read by Dave Clarke.
