Amitiés Internationales du Pays de Boussac

la cérémonie célébrant la fin des conflits de la seconde guerre mondiale aura lieu à Boussac le 8 mai à partir de 11 h 00.

Ainsi qu’il est de tradition le cortège se formera à partir de la place de l’hotel de ville ( lieu de rendez-vous) et remontera l’avenue Pierre Leroux jusqu’au monument aux morts.

Le cortège sera précédé par la batterie fanfare de Boussac ( seule batterie fanfare du Limousin, plus de 25 musiciens).

A l’arrivée au monument nous honorerons les morts  tant français qu’anglais.

La batterie fanfare jouera la sonnerie aux morts, les hymnes nationaux français et anglais et un discours ponctuera ce moment avant le dépôt de gerbe au monument.

Un verre de l’amitié réunira ensuite tous ceux qui le souhaitent à la mairie de Boussac.

The ceremony celebrating the end of the conflicts of the Second World War will take place in Boussac on May 8th from 11:00.

As it is of tradition the procession will be formed starting from the town hall in Boussac and will go up the avenue Pierre Leroux to the war memorial.

The procession will be preceded by the ‘batterie fanfare de Boussac’ (the only batterie fanfare of the Limousin, wth more than 25 musicians). The Union Flag will be paraded alongside the French flag.

On arrival at the monument we will honour the deaths of the French and also the English.

The ‘batterie fanfare’ will play ‘la sonnerie aux morts’, the French national anthem and the British National Anthem followed by a speech before the placing of a wreath on the monument.

A glass of the friendship will then be available for those who wish to join in the town hall of Boussac.
