A great day was had by all at the abbey yesterday. The ever popular AIPB English cake stall was bursting with delicious cakes, scones and the always popular English Breakfast Marmalade, expertly made by Alan.

Despite having just received a five course lunch the crowds still flocked in and bought cakes to eat there and to take home. Most people coming back for seconds and thirds.

Games were organised to keep the children occupied, but sometimes they proved quite popular with the adults also. Hoopla, Splat the Rat and numbered ducks were including in the AIPB attractions.

During the afternoon, on a gloriously warm and sunny day, we were entertained by accordion music, a marching band and singers.

A truly great day, thanks to all those who helped make it possible and those who bought cakes.

KERMESSE A L’ABBBAYE DE PREBENOIT

une belle journée pour tous à L’abbaye dimanche dernier. Le stand de gâteaux de l’AIPB, toujours aussi prisé, débordait de délicieux gâteaux, scones et de marmelade orange citron, faite avec  maestria par Alan.

Après un bon déjeuner, le public est venu en nombre et a acheté des gâteaux pour déguster sur place ou pour emporter. Beaucoup en ont racheté une seconde voire une troisième fois.

Des jeux étaient organisés pour amuser les enfants, appréciés des adultes également.

Le lancer de cerceaux, le piège à souris, la pêche aux canards étaient proposés par l’AIPB.

Au cours de l’après-midi, chaude et ensoleillée, nous avons eu le plaisir d’écouter de l’accordéon, des chanteuses et la banda de Bonnat-Bussière.

Une très belle journée, merci à tous ceux qui ont rendu cela possible et qui ont fabriqué tous ces bons gâteaux.
